MAY 2025: Fostering Kindness hosted our Inaugural Cheers to Kindness event on Thursday, May 8th. The event was a wonderful success, filled with great food and drinks, and amazing people. Guests enjoyed generously filled raffle baskets and auction items, donated by individuals and local businesses. Our primary event sponsor, Rocket Genius, ensured that our venue was beautiful, and our guests enjoyed fantastic food! Thanks to our bar sponsor, Chubb Law, we were able to surprise guests with an open bar! Special thanks to Adjectives Furniture for hand-crafting and donating our beautiful centerpieces! We were honored to host our guest speaker, Grace Brauer, founder of Project Ace, and hear how her own foster care journey connected to mission of Fostering Kindness.
An extraordinary group of people raised over $20,000 in sponsorships and ticket sales. We are beyond grateful for everyone who volunteered, attended, and sponsored!
AUGUST 2024: Board Member and volunteer, Sandi Wise, featured on Spectrum News 13's Everyday Hero segment for her work with Fostering Kindness!
JULY 2024: Fostering Kindness received a grant that allowed us to open an office space! Our story was featured on multiple news stations, including WFTV Channel 9!
MAY 2023: Fostering Kindness was featured on Fox35! Our birthday gift recipient, Sky, volunteered to share her story of aging out of foster care. Mixed emotions accompany 18th birthdays in foster care, but we do all we can to make sure they feel celebrated on this special day.
